I awoke yesterday morning to the Casting Crowns song "Voice of Truth", which God has used in my life concerning infertility- The Voice of Truth says this is for My Glory. I had been having irregular cramping and as a woman who longs for a baby, everything out of the ordinary calls for celebration and nursery planning (I tend to get the cart before the horse a little, but I can't help it)
When I was cooking breakfast I knew my period started and the hope of a baby this month was gone, again...
Then the Lord Jesus reminded me of a woe He himself said "But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!" What a wonderful blessing for me to see through my tears. God is good and He is Faithful, and He knows exactly when a baby should or shouldn't be born. I often remind my clients that there is a method to my madness. Well there is a method to the Creator of the Universe as well, and who am I that I should question his Sovereign ways?
I don't think I will ever stop waiting for that baby. I will always be thinking of creative ways that I can announce to the world that God has heard and answered my cry. I will always tear up when I am around new babies, and I may just continue to wonder if there is something I have done wrong to not deserve a child.
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away.
Blessed be the name of the Lord
I will choose to rejoice in His goodness and Faithfulness all the days of my life.
For more on my blessed woe:
Matt 24
The Great Tribulation
15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’[c] spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.Mark 13
