Material girl, Maybe not!

The focus for W;NK tonight is the story is found in Luke 12:16-21. A rich farmer was taking inventory of his goods and wondered what he should do with his vast inventory. He decided to tear down his current barns and build new, larger ones to store his goods. God said to him "You are a fool, for tonight you soul will be required of you."

I have seen firsthand what happens to one's possessions when they die, and they really can't take it with them. Their items are sold or discarded, maybe a few mementos kept, but the majority of their life's work remains on earth when they depart.

Jesus finished the parable by saying: "This is how it is for anyone who stores up things for himself but does not grow rich toward God"

I don't know about you, but I want to be rich towards God. Psalm 119:10 Holds an answer:
I seek you with all my heart;
    do not let me stray from your commands.

  1. Store up for yourself treasures in heaven where moth and rust cannot destroy and thieves cannot break in and steal ;) Nici Kacera always said you don't see a u-haul behind a hearse.
