First in 10 years!

There is an artist named Adele, she has a beautiful voice (that is perfectly in my vocal range, mind you). This is the first artist I have heard since making the choice to only listen to music about my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, that I have thought I could listen to her stuff.  The first in about 10 years, that is impressive.

Well, while working on my balance this morning at BodyFlow, I listened to the lyrics and felt bad for the English gal. I am not sure if she writes her own lyrics, but the depth of hurt and longing make me pray for this woman to find the Savior. Reading lyrics I came across these:


I let it fall, my heart,
And as it fell you rose to claim it
It was dark and I was over
Until you kissed my lips and you saved me

My hands, they're strong
But my knees were far too weak,
To stand in your arms
Without falling to your feet

Isn't that a picture of Jesus love for us and His power to save us from our sins? Isn't that what the swooners are really looking for? Here are some more:

I remember thinking things like this and it wasn't until I allowed Jesus into my heart that I understood that I would never have found that special someone from the fairy tales. It always lasts in love when you are in love with Jesus.

Remember what it was like when you first fell in love with Jesus? You wanted to know everything about Him and spend lots of time getting to know Him. Has that changed? If so, open the Word and feast on the Love that is Christ.
